What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do much the same job. They let a site remember things between page loads, for example that you are signed in.
Our approach
We keep this simple. Sino Learn uses only what the service needs to work. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell information about your browsing.
This marketing website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
What we use
Strictly necessary
These are required for the service to function and cannot be switched off in our systems.
- Authentication and session. When you sign in to the Sino Learn app or the admin portal, our authentication provider (Supabase) stores a session token on your device so that you stay signed in and your requests can be verified. Without it you would have to sign in on every screen.
- Security. Short-lived tokens used to protect forms and sessions against abuse.
Preferences
- Local settings. Small values stored on your device to remember choices such as your theme, so the app looks the same next time you open it.
Third parties
The only third party that sets a cookie or equivalent token through our service is Supabase, our authentication and database provider, and only for signing you in. Our Privacy Policy lists the operators we work with and what they do.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser lets you do this, usually under Privacy or Site settings.
If you block the strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in to Sino Learn, because there would be no way for us to keep you signed in securely. Browsing this marketing website will still work.
